Dismantling of 110 kV HV power line in Austria

In Kramsach, COGET Impianti is working on an obsolete line section with low-impact methods to improve network safety and sustainability.

In the second half of 2025, COGET Impianti is completing the dismantling of a 110 kV power line in Kramsach, Austria. The infrastructure, dating back to the 1930s, ran through densely urbanized areas and was no longer compatible with current safety, urban planning and environmental standards.

The project involves disconnecting the power system, removing overhead conductors, dismantling the towers, and partially demolishing the foundations (these last two phases are still ongoing). The work is being carried out in full compliance with safety regulations and with particular attention to the urban context, minimizing interference with traffic and residents thanks to targeted planning and the use of low-impact technologies.

The project is part of a broader plan to reorganize the regional electricity grid, relocating infrastructure outside residential areas. This confirms COGET Impianti’s ability to operate in complex environments, contributing to grid modernization and reducing the environmental impact of large-scale infrastructure.

The works are carried out on behalf of TIWAG-Tiroler Wasserkraft AG, represented by the grid operator TINETZ-Tiroler Netze GmbH.
