DESIGN
We are experts in the design of high and extra-high-voltage overhead power lines, from preliminary to construction design. Our Technical Team operates in accordance with Italian legislation (Law no. 339 of 28 June 1986) and with the standards required by both domestic and international customers.
Preliminary design
In this phase, we define the power line’s quality and functional characteristics. We base our approach on the initial information supplied by the customer and perform a technical and environmental study to outline the optimal design.
Definitive design
This step involves the gathering of all the inputs required in order to obtain the necessary authorisations and approvals. In this phase, we precisely establish the line’s route, in accordance with the requirements, criteria, constraint and guidelines established in the preliminary design.
Construction design
In the final design phase we set out the works planned in detail, with detailed specifications for the construction of the foundations for towers, installation and stringing of the power lines.
SUPPLY
We are able to construct high and extra-high-voltage overhead power lines on a turnkey basis, working with qualified vendors of proven professionalism. We carefully monitor the production of every single part of the power line, from design to production.
WORKS
Our expertise embraces a vast range of activities, including:
- Construction of foundations for towers of overhead power lines, including both conventional superficial foundations in the form of individual footings or one-piece plinths and special deep foundations such as large-diameter bored piles and micropiles, including the relative excavations and infilling on completion.
- Assembly of support structures for overhead power lines, using truck cranes/mobile cranes, derrick and helicopter.
- Stringing of the conductors and ground wires.
- Routine and non-routine maintenance on existing overhead power lines: replacement of conductors/ground wires, replacement of fittings and insulators, replacement of corroded metalwork of towers and repair of tower foundations.
- Demolition of existing power lines: recovery of conductors/ground wires, dismantling of lattice pylons and tubular towers of overhead power lines using truck cranes/mobile cranes, derricks and helicopters, demolition of tower foundations.
- Emergency response service in case of failures on high-voltage overhead power lines.
